Measurement Guide
Accurate measurements ensure perfect fit and optimal performance
Essential Tools
- Metal tape measure with millimeter markings
- Pencil and notepad for recording dimensions
- Spirit level for checking alignment
- Camera for documenting window configuration
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Measure Width
Measure the inside width of the window recess at three points: top, middle, and bottom. Record the smallest measurement to ensure the blind fits within the recess without binding.
2. Measure Height
Measure from the top of the recess to the window sill at three points: left, center, and right. Use the longest measurement to ensure complete coverage.
3. Check Depth
Measure the recess depth to ensure sufficient clearance for mounting brackets and fabric roll. Minimum 60mm depth required for most roller systems.
4. Note Obstructions
Document window handles, locks, or other protrusions that may interfere with operation. Photograph if possible.
